Step 1: Complete your registration form
My examination board is Cambridge International Examinations (CIE)
You will need to complete your registration form first. This form is available once the exams session opens for registration.
Register by downloading the Cambridge International Examinations form below, for IGCSEs or GCE O-/AS-/A-levels. This form is available once the exams session opens for registration.
When you have completed the application form, please remember to print your form and sign and date the Declaration.

DO I NEED TO MAKE ANY SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS?
Step 2: Pay for your exams
You will find the fees for all exams in the relevant price list document below. Your application will not be processed until you have paid for your exams.
You can pay via a bank draft payable to the British Council, or via cash through our local British Council customer services team.
PENALTY FEES
Each examination board has a normal registration stage for each exam session. You may still be able to register for exams after this date, but you will have to pay a penalty fee. You can find more information about late registration penalty fees through the British Council office.
Step 3: Submit your registration form
The final step is to submit your application to the British Council office where you wish to take the exams.
To do this, you will need:
- Your completed and signed registration form. Please keep a photocopy of this form for your records.
- Three recent colour passport-size photographs. These must be identical and taken within the past three months.
- A clear photocopy of your valid passport or National Identity Card.
- Registration fee for exams
Submit your application either by courier/ registered mail or personally to your nearest British Council office where you wish to take your test.
Step 4: Registration complete
You have successfully registered for school exams with the British Council.
You will receive your Statement of Entry and information about your examination venues approximately three weeks before your exams.
